“Preparation and practice are essential for public safety entities. No exceptions here at Glen Lake Fire Department.”
Our Fire & EMS staff complete 240+ hours of ongoing training annually. There are a variety of training objectives that require individual study, group activities, department evolutions, and even County wide drills. Here in rural northwest Michigan, we typically do not have the frequency of calls that more populated areas encounter. Therefore, the need for preparation is a top priority.
Our position is simple and concise:
Training is a valuable necessity that affords us the opportunities to be better prepared to effectively manage true emergencies when they arise. We take that responsibility seriously and are committed to continuous improvements to better serve our community.
